WHAT IS A CNA
A certified nursing assistant, is someone who helps residents with activities of daily living and other healthcare needs under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN.)

CNA’s can obtain employment in the following areas: nursing homes, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, adult daycares, hospitals, and rehab facilities.

We are currently living through a pandemic where our community continues to grow ill and the baby boomers continue to age as elderly. As a result, there is a higher demand for nursing assistants.

Job Outlook

The median annual wage for nurse assistants in Missouri is $30,850 or $14.82/hour. Employment is projected to grow 8 % from 2020 to 2030.
